- What are the check-in and check-out times?
- Check-in is from 3pm, plenty of time to arrive, unpack and breathe in the fresh country air. Check-out is by 11am.
- Are pets allowed?
- We love animals, but sadly your furry friends will need to stay home. Farm life doesn't mix well with visiting pets: the chickens get nervous and the cows start gossiping.
- Is there a designated area for kids to play?
- Absolutely. Kids can enjoy a nature scavenger hunt, follow a walking route made just for them and splash around by the river (with adult supervision, of course). Outdoor magic, minus the screen time.
- Is there security on site?
- There's no official security, but the farm is peaceful and very safe. For extra peace of mind, feel free to bring a small lock for your tent. Just remember where you put the key.
- Are the tents waterproof?
- Yes, 100%. Our tents handle whatever the weather throws at them: rain, wind or an overly excited sprinkler.
- How do I keep food and drinks cold?
- There's a fridge in the communal area to keep your goodies chilled, perfect for a late-night chocolate or a cool drink after a walk.
- Do we need to bring cooking utensils, plates, cups and cutlery?
- No need. We've got all the basics sorted, just bring your appetite (and maybe your secret sauce recipe).
- What type of cooking facilities are there?
- The communal kitchen has a gas stove, oven and kettle, whether you're frying breakfast, baking something tasty or making a good cappuccino.
- What activities are available?
- Hiking and trail running, mountain biking on over 30 km of trails, bird and wildlife watching, river swimming and a nature walk for kids. Tulbagh's wine estates and restaurants are a short drive away.
- Do I need any camping equipment?
- No. All our units are fully furnished and ready for your stay.
- Is there electricity in the tents?
- Each tent has an in-tent power point for charging. We are a solar-powered farm, so these points can only charge your phone or a USB Type-C device.
- Is there Wi-Fi at the farm?
- Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the venue.
- What toilet facilities are available?
- Modern, private and fully equipped timber ablutions with showers and toilets. The family unit and honeymoon suite also have a bathtub.
- Can we host an event or wedding on the farm?
- Yes. Our events area suits celebrations, meetings and workshops, and the whole farm can be shaped around your group's weekend. Send us your dates and numbers to get started.
